Curry heads south to Vallis Way
Ealing Trailfinders have further strengthened their squad for the 2017-18 season by signing Ollie Curry from Rotherham Titans.
Second-row Curry joined the Titans ahead of the current campaign and scored one try in 19 appearances for the South Yorkshire side. He played in both matches between the Titans and Ealing Trailfinders this season.
“Joining Ealing Trailfinders gives me the opportunity to improve as a player and join a top four team,” Curry said.
“The facilities are fantastic and I am looking forward to competing for my position and helping the team have another successful season.”
The 21-year-old came the through the London Irish Academy. After he made his debut in November 2014 away to Sale he went on to play a further nine matches for the Exiles and also featured for their A-League and 7’s teams.
While with Irish he was dual registered with Esher and played for the Surrey outfit against Ealing Trailfinders at Molesey Road.
“Ollie is someone who came on our radar when at London Irish academy and playing on loan at Esher. He is a physical player comfortable in the second row and at six,” Ealing Trailfinders Director of Rugby Ben Ward said.
“He is still young and we feel he has a lot of potential to push on over the next couple of years in our environment.”
