Head physio vacancy in medical department
Ealing Trailfinders are seeking a candidate to fill a position in the club’s medical department.
The role is head physiotherapist and it provides an exciting opportunity to join a full time professional club currently ranked as one of the top 24 clubs in England.
The head physiotherapist is an integral part of our support team, working at our high-class training facilities at Trailfinders Sports Club, Ealing, West London.
As head physiotherapist you will organise and structure the club’s physiotherapy department and work within a multi-discipline performance team. You will lead the assessment and rehabilitation of the club players using a multi-discipline approach at all times; you will fully structure, prescribe and record the players return from injury.
You, therefore, must have excellent communication skills and leadership qualities including an eye for detail whilst also being a meticulous planner. Your philosophy must centre around a holistic approach and not solely in that of manual therapy, in which a knowledge of dynamic systems theory and current best practice within physical performance is desired.
You will have an active involvement in the structure and content of other performance team initiatives such as daily screening, injury prevention, injury monitoring and prehabilitation. This will require extensive knowledge of relevant literature, current best practice, and excellent critical analysis skills.
An education to degree level in physiotherapy/sports rehabilitation/sports therapy (including relevant registration HCPC/BASRT/SST) and RFU ICIS qualification is essential, although postgraduate education in these and other relevant fields may also be advantageous. You will have a successful record and experience of working within a professional sports team and effectively working within a physiotherapy department.
Salary to be negotiated.
