Ealing Trailfinders to tread new ground on Dragons visit
Ealing Trailfinders will be on relatively familiar turf when they take on the Newport Gwent Dragons Development XV in their second pre-season fixtures on Saturday.
Ben Ward’s side will cross the Severn Bridge for the fixture at the CCBC Centre for Sporting Excellence in Ystrad Mynach in good heart following their 28-7 win over Coventry at Butts Park Arena and the fixture will be played on a 3G surface similar to the one at Vallis Parade.
Newport Gwent Dragons use the facility as their regional base for training and for junior development matches, while Cardiff City FC and the Welsh Rugby Union regional development academies and age grade teams also utilise the grounds.
The centre was opened in 2014 and provides a first class training venue for elite and flourishing rugby and football players to develop their strength and skills using the commanding conditioning suite and the two international standard 3G pitches.
