JCR heads back to familiar turf in B&I Cup trip
James Cordy-Redden will return to the starting line-up and to a ground he knows well when Ealing Trailfinders take on the Dragons Premiership XV in the British and Irish Cup on Saturday.
The match will take place at Cross Key’s Pandy Park home, where Cordy-Redden played for two seasons while studying at the University of West England in Bristol. He played 50 matches for Keys, including the British and Irish Cup matches against Ealing Trailfinders in 2013-14.
Cordy-Redden is one of two players in the starting team who has played for Keys, along with second row Scott Andrews.
Scrum-half Josh Davies returns to face a team whose Academy he came through, a week after he scored two tries on his Ealing Trailfinders debut against Yorkshire Carnegie.
Cordy-Redden will begin at fullback, with Phil Chesters and Curtis Wilson on the wings.
Lewis Jones retains his place in the centre, but will link up with Callum Wilson, who moves in from the wing to fill the number 12 shirt.
Davies holds onto the number nine shirt and he will form a half-back pair with Aaron Penberthy.
In the forwards Andrews will pack down alongside Sam Pailor, who made his debut off the bench a week ago against Carnegie. In front of them Rhys Lawrence will start at hooker with Will Davis and Alex Penny either side of him at prop.
Chris York will lead the side from number 8, alongside Willie Ryan and Seb Nagle-Taylor in the back row.
