Jones brothers in tandem for Doncaster clash
Carwyn and Llewelyn Jones will start together in the second row when Ealing Trailfinders take on Doncaster Knights in the Greene King IPA Championship at Vallis Way on Saturday.
The match is being sponsored by the University of West London, who re-signed as a club sponsor this week.
The Jones twins have featured in all four Championship matches this season, but Saturday will be the first time that they have started alongside one another in the engine room.
Ahead of them in the front-row, Argentine international Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Lancuba and Lewis Thiede will pack down either side of Rhys Lawrence for the fourth time this season.
The back-row has an equally familiar feel. Willie Ryan keeps up his 100% appearance record, but moves round to the flank having played number 8 against London Irish last week.
Mark Bright returns to the number 8 shirt and he will again captain the side, with Arthur Ellis completing the back-row.
James Cordy-Redden and Joe Munro both start, two weeks on from their try-scoring exploits in the 20-15 victory over Jersey Reds at Vallis Way. Match-winner Cordy-Redden moves from the centre to the wing to allow Aled Jenkins to make his competitive debut and the Welshman will partner Munro in the centres.
Curtis Wilson will line-up on the other wing to complete the three-quarter line, with Will Harries at fullback.
Aaron Penberthy is set to make his first start at fly-half and the former Jersey Reds and Cornish Pirates pivot will team up with Luke Carter at half-back.
