Penberthy set for first start away to Irish
Aaron Penberthy will make his first start for Ealing Trailfinders when they visit London Irish on Sunday, just over two weeks after he joined the club from El Salvador.
The 23-year-old made his debut off the bench in the draw against former team Cornish Pirates a fortnight ago and then repeated the trick against another former club, Jersey Reds, a week later when he converted both Ealing Trailfinders tries.
He will start at fly-half and link up with scrum-half Alex Walker, who makes his second start of the season.
The duo are two of 10 changes from the team that defeated Jersey Reds 20-15 and the side will be led by Chris York, who makes his first start of the season, in the number six shirt.
It means that Willie Ryan moves round to number 8 from blindside, with Arthur Ellis holding onto the openside berth.
Elsewhere in the pack there is a totally new tight-five. Matt Cornish is rewarded for an impressive showing off the bench against Jersey Reds by beginning at hooker, with Alex Penny and Will Davis handed their first starts of the season at prop.
Llewelyn Jones and Scott Andrews also make their first starts of the season in the engine room.
Outside Penberthy and Walker, last week’s winning try-scorer James Cordy-Redden keeps his place, but he will line up alongside another debutant, Luke Peters.
Wing Phil Chesters returns to the back three, where he will team up with fellow wing Rhys Crane and fullback Will Harries.
