Walker, Daniels and Jones twins latest to extend deals
Alun Walker, Luke Daniels and Carwyn and Llewelyn Jones are the latest four players to sign on with Ealing Trailfinders ahead of the coming season.
All four were part of the Ealing Trailfinders team that won promotion from National 1 in 2014-15 and they played major roles in helping the west London club avoid relegation from the Greene King IPA Championship this season.
“I am delighted that the four lads are extending their contracts, ” Director of Coaching Ben Ward said. “They have been with us for the last two seasons, wear the shirt with pride and give us continuity within our squad.”
Walker joined Ealing Trailfinders from Edinburgh having played on loan from Nottingham. He previously played for Scotland A and this season featured in 15 match day squads.
Luke Daniels returned to the Championship having previously played in it for Esher and was a constant threat with his pace from fullback. Carwyn and Llewelyn Jones arrived at Vallis Way from Scarlets and have firmly established themselves in the forward pack with their energy in the loose and lineout.
“Alun Walker has the potential to be one of the best hookers in the league and Luke Daniels has shown over the past weeks how dangerous he can be with ball in hand, ” Ward said.
“It will be a big season for Carwyn and Llewelyn who now have the opportunity to really kick on and progress and I think they will benefit hugely working with Alex Codling.”
